Sunpet was first established in 1972 as Sunny Industries Company. In 1980, it was incorporated and changed to its present name. The first China plant was erected in 1983 and has been expanded many times since then to its present size. The plant is
in a single enclosed complex of six blocks.
Total working floor space is 30,000 square
metres and houses over 1,000 workers.
Sunpet specialises mainly in manufacturing optical products. In 1994, Sunpet set up the first ultra-precision machining centre in Hong Kong for plastic aspherical lens manufacturing. At Sunpet, there are excellent in-house facilities to enable products to
be developed and manufactured under the same roof. Sunpet has been awarded the ISO 9001: 2000 certificate. In addition to its own branded products, Sunpet also develops and manufactures products in big brand names on OEM and ODM basis. |
